QUESTIONS 1. In what professions
do you specialize?
Each year, we place healthcare professionals in temporary, permanent,
and traveling positions. We specialize in Respiratory Care Practitioners
(RRT, CRTT) and through TLC Nursing Services we offer services
to Registered Nurses in all specialties, Certified Regsitered
Nurse Anesthetists, Surgical and Central Supply Technologists,
Licensed Practical Nurses, Radiology Technologists, Ultrasound
Technologists, and more.
2. What are the criteria for candidates
to be accepted into your program?
Candidates must have a minimum of one (1) ear of recent experience
in the acute care setting and withing thier respective discipline
before being considered for acceptance into our program. Then
each candidate is carefully screened before being accepted.
3. How do you screen your candiates
before placement with a client facility?
Our professionals undergo rigorous screening to ensure that our
client facilities always get the professionals they demand. These
procedures include but are not limited to verification of academic
credentials, employment history, and all licenses. We also require
verbal and written references/performance evaluations from recent
employers, completion of a comprehensive skills assessment, competency
testing, drug screening, and criminal background investigations.
Our screening can also meet any facility specific requirements
you may have.
4. How long are your assignments?
We offer both per diem and travel assignments. Our per diem program
allows you to supplement your staffing needs on a shift by shift
basis, with as little as a few hours notice of required coverage.
The majority of our travel assignments are for three (3) months,
or thirteen (13) weeks. However, we can tailor an arrangement
to suit your particular needs, from four (4) to twenty six (26)
weeks, depending on your situation.
5. Will there be any other charges
other than the hourly rate?
No. Our hourly rate is an all-inclusive rate that is billed to
you based on the hours worked by the healthcare associate or traveler.
The rate includes the hourly salary, differentials, payroll taxes,
professional liability insurance, health insurance, round trip
travel/transportation, housing, licensure and certification reimbursements,
and all administrative fees.
6. What about assignment completion
bonuses?
Many of our client facilities are now offering assignment completion
bonuses to candidates as an additional incentive in this demanding,
competitive marketplace. In these cases, Allied Healthcare Staffing
normally pays the bonus directly to the traveler and invoices
the client the following week.
7. Will my facility be allowed to
hire the healthcare associate directly?
Yes! Unlike other agencies, after successful completion of a thirteen
(13) week assignment, your facility can hire the traveler with
absolutely no placment fees due to the agency! Another great reason
to call us!
